Patrick and Mai Manning embarked on their journey as joyful fur baby parents when they welcomed their first Goldendoodle puppy, Peanut Butter, into their lives in April 2020. Within just a few months, their local park friends were in awe of Peanut Butter's beauty, intelligence, and remarkable training. This sparked the idea that he could potentially become an exceptional canine father.

About two years later, after thorough research, the Mannings were ready to find Peanut's future mate and mother to their future pups. After considering various factors, they decided to adopt a Bernedoodle named Jelly Muffin in November 2021. It didn't take long for them to realize they had laid the foundation for their budding breeding family.

Combining the traits of a Goldendoodle with those of a Bernedoodle resulted in the perfect blend of soft, curly, love-filled companionship—a furry ball of affection, loyalty, and charm, quickly becoming a beloved member of the family.

Fast forward two years, and the Mannings have been inundated with requests from neighbors, friends, and family members to share their beautiful furbaby canines. Now that gift is a reality! We support Southern California “No Kill” Shelters and will donate 10% of each puppy rehoming fee to help keep less fortunate furry friends.

How We Started

About Golden Mountain Doodles

Hybrids such as golden mountain doodles are only likely to inherit a health problem that is common to the poodle, Bernese mountain dog, and golden retriever – three breeds that share few common diseases. Golden mountain doodles, therefore, have what is referred to as “hybrid vigor,” and can be expected to live healthier, longer lives than their purebred parents.

A hybrid dog combines the traits and characteristics of its purebred parents; with careful, conscientious breeding, the resulting pups may end up with the best attributes of each. In the case of the golden mountain doodle, the blend of the golden retriever, Bernese, and poodle produces a smart, friendly, loving, social, and playful dog. They tend to have the gentle, loving, and desire-to-please nature of the golden retriever, the laid-back, loving, and loyal nature of the Bernese, and the goofy liveliness and intelligence of the poodle.

Most golden mountain doodles have a moderate activity level. They love to run, play, and hike with you, and some will inherit the retriever’s affinity for the water and retrieving. When it’s time to relax, golden mountain doodles are usually happy to nap in their crate, on their dog bed or even the cool floor on a hot day.  Most of them have little need for personal space so be prepared to have them snuggled up to you or lay on your feet.

A Good Home

We come from families deeply rooted in the love, affection, and responsibility of caring for family pet companions. When selecting future families to adopt our precious furbaby puppies, our top priority will be finding individuals who have the time and commitment to share with their new companion, along with the patience and dedication required for training and nurturing their new family member.

Our decision to share the joy of raising these beautiful pups with other couples, families, and individuals stems from our desire for others to experience the love, fun, affection, and cherished memories that come with having a sweet pup in their lives.

We are acutely aware of the ongoing challenge of finding loving homes for the countless canines in animal rescues and shelters, both in the US and around the world. That's why we wholeheartedly support the efforts of these vital organizations through financial contributions and regular donations of our time and love. We believe in giving back to our furry friends and helping ensure they find the loving homes they deserve.
