The Golden Mountain Doodle is a delightful blend of the golden retriever, Bernese mountain dog, and poodle breeds. Typically, one parent is a mix of half golden retriever and half standard poodle, while the other parent is a combination of half Bernese mountain dog and half standard poodle. This crossbreed combines the intelligence and playful nature of the poodle with the gentle, loyal, and affectionate traits of the golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog.
Most Golden Mountain Doodles are low- to non-shedding, making them a suitable choice for individuals with allergies. They are known for their affectionate demeanor and eagerness to please, making them easy to train and delightful companions. These dogs thrive on human interaction, enjoying being close to their owners and eager to learn new tricks. Their sociable and spirited nature, coupled with a patient disposition, makes them excellent companions for families with children.
Due to their laid-back temperament, Golden Mountain Doodles are well-suited for both first-time dog owners and experienced ones alike. They make ideal all-around companions, bringing joy and companionship to any household.

Golden Mountain Doodles boast a coat that sheds minimally. Doodles are often described as "low-shedders" compared to many other breeds. The majority of these dogs are considered "hypoallergenic," making them particularly suitable for individuals with dander allergies.
-
One of the great things about Golden Mountain Doodles is their intelligence. These dogs are known for being “crazy smart” and are easy to train. They love to learn new tricks or commands.
-
Much can be inferred from their ancestry. Golden Mountain Doodles typically have a lifespan averaging 10 to 13 years. However, with minimal health concerns, they may even reach 15 to 16 years. Key to promoting canine longevity are regular exercise, mental stimulation, and a nutritious diet.
-
They typically have a wavy or curly coat that is low-shedding and hypoallergenic. This makes them an excellent choice for people who suffer from allergies or those who want a dog with a low-maintenance coat.
-
Gentle, friendly, intelligent, loyal, can be protective, eager to please, sometimes goofy. They love to exercise, including long walks, runs, playtime, and thriving on outdoor activities.
-
There are numerous similarities shared among these crossbreeds, with the primary distinction lying in the color of their coats. However, all Golden Mountain Doodles will typically have wavy to semi-curly coats, predominantly hypoallergenic. Their personalities, trainability, and temperament tend to be largely uniform, largely influenced by their poodle genetics.

Puppies will undergo their initial vet health check-up and receive their first set of vaccinations at 6-7 weeks of age. The subsequent set of shots will be due approximately 3 weeks later, likely coinciding with the time they join their new human families. Since your puppy will likely come home at 8 weeks, the first set of vaccinations will be due within 1-2 weeks after arrival. It's crucial to adhere to the puppy vaccination schedule to ensure their health and well-being. During your first vet appointment after bringing the puppy home, your vet can provide guidance on the best vaccination plan. We strongly recommend scheduling a vet visit within 48-72 hours of your puppy's arrival to ensure they are in good health.

Puppies are typically ready to join their new family by 8 weeks of age. However, if you prefer that they undergo additional training, such as crate, potty, and leash training, you may choose to pick them up after week 10. Please note that this extended training period, often referred to as "finishing school," will incur an additional charge for the extra two weeks of training.
